Macclesfield High School Student Presented with Certificate for Sterling Action within the Community!

Jack Parkinson

Firefighters from Macclesfield Fire Station have passed on their grateful thanks and a certificate of merit to Jack Parkinson, a Year 7 student at Macclesfield High School, after he helped them at a recent incident.

On Saturday 12th September, Jack assisted the crew at a road traffic collision involving a motorcyclist and helped to warn other road users of the hazard ahead, while firefighters and paramedics assisted the casualty.  Jack helped to highlight the collision and did a sterling job at a particularly critical time, thereby helping all the emergency services involved.

Jack acted quickly and responsibly and is a credit both to his parents and his school.  Well done Jack!

Macclesfield High School’s Art department has been doubly honoured, as the Head of Art, Miss Forster, was invited by the Arts Advisor to teach on the course.  This is a real accolade as the course is highly regarded by both students and staff as a showcase for the excellent standard of Art teaching within the county.
